Environment and Sustainability

We take our responsibilities to the environment very seriously and believe wholeheartedly in the necessity of maintaining a healthy and safe environment and in seeking to ensure our solutions contribute to sustainability.

As a manufacturer and a security product provider our responsibility to the environment centralises around seeking to ensure the solutions we offer and the methods we use to manufacture them are the best options available.

We are constantly considering and revising our policy and the materials we use, each and every part of our bollards are subject to our policy, as an example:

Galvanising of steel is often considered as a completely unfriendly process in environmental terms, this can be the case if not properly regulated. However, when the whole life environmental impact of a structure is considered, galvanising is one of the most environmentally friendly processes available.

Consider this:  Around the world a tonne of steel turns to rust every 90 seconds and 50% of all steel produced worldwide is to replace items that have rusted.

Then consider that providing a protection that can allow steel to remain corrosion free for up to 70 years has a massive positive impact long term. Less corrosion equals less manufacture.
