Demonstration of the Busgate Priority System in Chester.
Lights in traffic indicator column are on red indicating that the bollards are in the raised position and that access is blocked.
As an authorised vehicle approaches, the system goes into operation and the bollards begin to lower.
Once the bollards are fully retracted the lights turn green indicating that one vehicle may pass.
As soon as that vehicle passes over the system the light turns red indicating to any unauthorised vehicles behind that they may not pass through.
The bollards begin to raise immediately after the vehicle has passed completely over the system.
