ATG Access Ltd strengthens its position within the North American market

ATG Access Inc. announced today that they have acquired the vehicle barrier/and gate division of the Canadian group Allen-Vanguard Corporation.

Haydock-based ATG Access (part of the CoBaCo Group) engineer and produce High Security Vehicle Barrier, Traffic bollard systems and Ram Raid deterrent bollards which can be seen in situ in most major cities and venues globally. The Haydock business will work closely with its sister business ATG Access Inc. in the full global integration of the business This acquisition continues the development of ATG Access’s business globally, coming on the back of the acquisition of the vehicle barrier division of Boon Edam in the United States last year- to form ATG Access Inc.- and an agreement between Edgar Allen and ATG Access for a range of cast manganese bollards in architecturally challenging applications, the ability to support its client worldwide continues to develop.
 
The anti-terror and ram-raid deterrent bollard systems are designed to withstand the force of a heavy goods truck driving at 50 miles per hour– its little wonder ATG Access sits firmly in the bracket of the world’s specialist provider of physical security solutions.
 
Steven Lindsay, Partner at CLB Coopers Chartered Accountants provided corporate finance advice to the purchaser, whilst Donald Johnson of Aird & Berlis LLP in Toronto provided legal advice.
 
The undisclosed consideration will be satisfied by existing facilities provided by Bank of Scotland (Lloyds Banking Group).
