Improved Safety Infrastructure at Blackpool Tram Depot.

Bollards were specified to be one element within an improved safety infrastructure at the busy tram depot. A derivative of the SP100 retractable was recommended and eight bollards installed. The aim of the bollards is to stop the trams running free and to protect workers within the depot.

ATG Access worked with Volker Fitzpatrick on the project and engineered the SP100 products to be fitted with limit switches to communicate with the depot doors.

A bespoke locking mechanism was also fitted onto the retractable bollards to suit the customers specific requirements.
