ATG Access is proud to be involved in the ongoing PAS68 testing programme and extremely proud to produce the product which has proven to be the benchmark for the rest of the industry.
In February 2005 our SP1000 rising bollard was hit by a 7.5 tonne truck travelling at 30mph, the truck was stopped dead in its tracks and the bollard continued to work. A short time later the same bollard was re-tested, this time with a 7.5 tonne truck travelling at 50mph, the result was astounding as the truck was again stopped dead and the bollard again continued to work.

A whole range of products has come from these early tests.

Shallow Mount
Shallow Mount is not linked to any particular product, it is a structure we have developed that enables us to provide high security products which can be installed at a fraction of the depth underground that traditional products require.
Shallow mount technology is the latest innovation in physical security and is proving invaluable within city centres and other places where underground services are below every highway and byway. The ATG Access shallow mount system is a revolutionary masterpiece of engineering and sits at the cutting edge of industry technology.
Bollards
In our latest test, bollards installed in our shallow mount system stopped a 7.5 tonne truck travelling at 50mph – the bollard foundation was installed just 112mm below ground.
In previous tests the bollards had stopped dead a 7.5 tonne truck travelling at 30mph and then 40mph. As we continue our extensive testing programme there will be a shallow mounted bollard for every level of security and budget.
Cityscape Gate
Many gate products are industrial in appearance and are inappropriate for use in pedestrianised areas. The Cityscape gate is stylish, smooth lined and pedestrian friendly as well as being immensely strong having been successfully tested, arresting a 7500kg truck travelling at 40mph. It is installed with a minimum of disruption using our shallow mount technology and is light in weight for a product of its type; this is achieved through the use of synthetic materials and state of the art design.
The Cityscape gate is available both in brushed Stainless Steel or coated finishes and can span 4m to 5.5m, it may be specified as right or left hand hinging and may be opened in either direction, it is secured by a hydraulic locking mechanismand it may therefore be unlocked remotely from your central control room.
