The Institute of Directors hosted their annual awards ceremony for the North West of England on Thursday 30th March. The annual ceremony hosted by the IoD (Institute of Directors) is renowned and respected for recognising the incredible achievements of businesses across the North West. Placing emphasis on individual excellence and achievement, the awards celebrate the region’s top bosses.
Glenn Cooper won the International Director Award for establishing ATG’s export business. Export is now 75% of ATG’s substantial pipeline as the company sees their certified and innovative products specified more and more on international projects.
Having established manufacturing bases in the USA, Gulf and Asia, and a network of 32 international distributors across all continents, Glenn has been at the forefront of ATG’s global growth. ATG is now a UKTI “Export Champion”, an ambassador company for inspiring other British companies to embark on exporting.
ATG Access is now approaching the innovation of 100, independently tested and certified products and has become a world leading competitor within the physical security products market. This is all utilising pioneering, British technology from the North West.
Glenn was also one of six business leaders invited to advise the Prime Minister on reducing EU Red Tape, again working on increasing export across Europe for SME sized businesses like ATG Access.
