ATG and Bega design new lighting caps for bollards
In an exciting new development, ATG Access has joined forces with light engineering specialists Bega Lighting UK to create a new illuminated aesthetic sleeve for our high-security bollards.
The German firm has been mastering the engineering behind internal and external lighting for over 70 years and has joined up with ATG on an engineering-led project to bring a lighting solution to the security market.
Coming together to produce an ‘illuminated aesthetic sleeve,’ the two businesses have created three differently designed lighting caps, built specifically for ATG Access’ shallow mount bollards, and with the intention to secure and improve urban environments across the globe.
Allen Cunningham, chief engineer at ATG Access, commented: “Bega is a fantastic fit for ATG Access as the company shares the same passion for engineering quality and prioritises the delivery of technology that is both functional and well-designed, in the same way, that we do.
“Together we are now bringing to market a fully illuminated, tested and certified shallow foundation product that will provide security, safety, and illumination to any perimeter security scheme.
“The coming together of the two firms for this project is a true engineering feat, and a testament to the power that can be found in different engineering specialists sharing and combining their expertise.”
The new illuminated caps make a great addition to our line of aesthetic and heritage sleeves, letting us provide architects with a wide range of options.
One of the aesthetic sleeve options was officially launched at the Security & Policing Show in Farnborough on the 5th-7th March. Our award-winning temporary security barrier the Surface Guard was also featured at the expo, this time showing off our custom designed covers.
