With 18 years at ATG Access under his belt, our new Sales and Marketing Director, Iain Moran started his career as one of our apprentice electrical engineers, working on the tools.

From these humble beginnings, Iain made his move into sales where he really found his home, going from Commercial UK Sales to High-Security Sales before spending the last few years heading up the whole of ATG’s UK Sales as well as covering Australia, Canada and the USA.

Under Iain’s guidance, sales in those regions have flourished with ATG becoming one of the leading physical security companies in the country, working on such high profile projects as The Shard, London Olympics 2012, LAX Airport, Sydney Opera House and a whole host of high profile sites across the UK, Australia, Canada and USA.

With his new appointment, Iain will be overseeing and driving ATG’s sales and marketing efforts at home and internationally, looking to further cement ATG’s role as the top physical security solution provider.

Getting to know Iain Moran

We caught up with Iain to ask him a few questions, in order to give you a better idea of what kind of person our new Sales and Marketing Director is along with his plans for the future.

What is the project your most proud of working on?

“It was great working with Network Rail to provide physical security across 30 stations around the UK. It had its own unique challenges as each site had its own requirements and stakeholders. I think that project is probably the example of our role as a partner rather than just a supplier as we worked directly with Network Rail in order to provide them with a complete solution”

What are your plans as Sales and Marketing Director for ATG’s future?

“I’m looking to focus on growing our market share in the UK and abroad, while also growing other elements of our business such as our commercial bollards and temporary security lines”.

What is the most important thing you have learned in your time at ATG?

“To be successful it’s important to work as part of a team and business that is pulling in the same direction”.

If you could go back what advice would you give to Iain Moran the apprentice?

“Listen to the people around you and make sure you have the right attitude because you can learn a lot”.

What the future holds

Innovation has always been at the heart of what we do at ATG and Iain along with the sales and marketing team will be looking to deliver ambitious growth targets and continue the record-breaking success we’ve seen over the last year.

Over the next three years, ATG will be looking to continue its stellar performance within the UK while growing the export side of the business. With over ten years of experience exporting around the world and an extensive network of international distributors, ATG is well positioned to solidify itself as the premier exporter of British physical security solutions.

Any of our clients who have worked with Iain will know just what a great fit he is for the role and we are all excited to see the direction he will take ATG in the coming years.
