Airport Security

Airports are a key target for potential terror attacks and as such require a high level of protection.

Protecting Airports

Securing the perimeter

Considerations need to be made for both the passenger facing terminals and also the airside buildings and perimeter. Security measures need to ensure that only authorised vehicles are allowed to access airside roadways. The ability to search encroaching vehicles also needs to be facilitated where necessary.

Protecting Passengers

Passengers and terminals need to be protected from a potential terrorist attack as well as accidental vehicle impact. Security measures must not deter travellers or visitors but must blend into the surrounding environment.

Hostile Vehicle Mitigation Barriers

Multiple security barriers can be integrated into one system to achieve a specific security objective. These barriers can also be designed to work with additional security features or man guarding.

Security mix

Airport sites are traditionally vast with many security objectives ensuring passengers, workers and visitors are safe at all times. This normally requires a complex mix of systems and physical barriers. ATG has secured multiple large airport sites internationally and would be happy to go through your specific airport security objectives.
